Basically, paratha is a kind of paratha wrapped with skewered kebabs. But it is completely rolled like roti with skewers of roasted kebabs. If we talk about 2009, there was a growing market in the Pune food industry and here the industry business used to get very good opportunities. Due to this, it came to the notice of the founder Punit Kansal that Kathi Roll can give good benefits to the changing food industry. Good profit can be made in this industry.

How was started roll mania by the founder Punit Kansal?

Only and only at that time founder Puneet Kansal was 18 years old and had only and only ₹ 20000 with which he started the business of Kathi Rolls by the name of Rolls Mania, which is a kiosk outside a restaurant in Magarpatta City, Pune. Started with tables. When he started his business, he had only one chef. And when Puneet turns 28 and remembers this business then only he feels that in the beginning I had only one kiosk which was giving me an increasing number of customers every day and today this business rolls mania so much spread in India.

From the time of starting this business till this point, Puneet had his regular mentor, Gagan Siyal, and his friend Sukhpreet Singh as partners in this business. This business partner had previously worked in the restaurant food industry. Together with them, Puneet started a registered company named Rolls Mania in 2010 along with other outlets in their formation. In many interviews, Puneet has told how he turned his business into a 35 crore business with the help of branding and a franchisee model with more than 102 outlets in more than 30 cities selling almost 12000 rolls per day.

And he also tells how Rolls Mania started when he was 18 years old and his pocket was empty then he came from Mathura to Pune to do a successful business of his own. Even he did not have much knowledge of the sales job and had very little experience.

Talking about the food industry, the knowledge was completely zero. But there was definitely an idea in his mind to bring back the roti roll which he had grown up eating. Then he thought that I want to introduce healthy rolls with old memories in the market. Then his old college friend lent him ₹20000 and with that money, he started a small kiosk outside a restaurant.

And while doing this business, he did all the sourcing, accounting, and delivery. After a few days the kiosk was asked to be vacated by the restaurant owner then Puneet thought of putting up the plate in the same building and there met Gagan and Supreet Siyal who were customers in their kiosk. After meeting him, Puneet felt that he and Puneet had the same vision for the business, so they officially launched their first store in the name of Rolls Mania.

After starting the business, Puneet kept his entire focus on expansion and business development and Sukhpreet used to handle the finance. He had landed in Rolls Mania to serve rolls to the customer at a good price. His partner Gagan used to handle the marketing of the business. He says he ran the business smoothly with new ideas when needed. Like what is new in the market and taking decisions quickly, using the latest marketing style and branding, helped Puneet a lot to grow his business. With Rolls Mania’s old quality quantity and quick persistence, I believed in it more.

The Rolls Mania brand started doing well in Pune and soon it was time to grow across the country. The specialty of Rolls Mania was that vegetarian and non-vegetarian rolls were available here at healthy and pocket-friendly prices, which the customer liked very much. In Rolls Mania, Rolls with diverse tastes connected with the extended customer base through Rolls Mania, which further benefited the business.

Later Puneet also started Franchise Model in Rose Mania which soon opened its outlets in 30 cities. And now Rolls Mania started doing more than 200000 orders in a month which includes walking and delivery. Almost every month more than 500000 rolls were being sold. This Puneet’s success story was very exciting which is inspirational for anyone. Puneet Kansal traveled from a small kiosk to having more than 150 outlets in 30 cities.
